SILK
Silk is synonymous with elegance and brilliant colours. Silk fabrics have a distinctive sheen and make a very characteristic sound when gathered or touched (known as the ‘silk squeak’). Silk is also very soft and gentle on the skin.
CARE TIP:
It is best to care for your favourite silk items using special silk detergents, either by hand washing or on the woollens cycle at 30°C. Please always check the care label to see how the items are labelled. After washing, silk items can be spun briefly in the machine. To avoid shiny patches when ironing, it is best to iron inside out or place a thin cotton cloth between the fabric and the iron.
