RAMIE

Ramie, also known as ‘China grass’, is a bast fibre and therefore another natural plant-based fibre. It is a very robust and durable fibre, naturally pure white in colour, and is promoted as a renewable fibre with great potential. However, processing it currently still involves a great deal of mechanical effort and manual labour, which makes the fibre expensive to produce. We have been using ramie consistently in individual items for years; these items always contain 100% ramie.
