The cardigan consists of 62 per cent longhaired, soft mohair wool with RMS certification. RMS stands for Responsible Mohair Standard. It guarantees that the goats’ wool comes from farms that meet the highest requirements in terms of animal welfare, sustainable land management and social standards. This ensures that the animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner, the soil remains healthy and workers are employed under fair conditions.

By the end of 2025, Marc Cain aims to use only RMS-certified mohair – and thus take even greater responsibility for a more ethical fashion world.
