TENCEL™ Lyocell and TENCEL™ Modal are produced from wood, a natural raw material sourced from certified or controlled forests. Compared with generic modal fibres, TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibres are produced with at least 50 per cent lower CO₂ emissions and water consumption. In addition, over 99 per cent of the solvent is recovered. Results are based on LCA standards (ISO 14040/44) and are available via Higg MSI (version 3.8).
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibres are produced from wood, a natural raw material. Compared with generic viscose fibres, CO₂ emissions and water consumption during the production of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibres are at least 50 per cent lower. LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibres can also be combined with REFIBRA™ technology. This fibre innovation uses not only wood but also at least 20 % recycled cotton.
Lyocell – HV100 fibre emphasises the aesthetic appeal of natural imperfection and mimics the irregularities of natural fibres through the variable cut lengths of the fibres. Thanks to the innovative closed-loop production process, water consumption and CO₂ emissions are reduced by 50 per cent compared with conventional Lyocell fibres. Results are based on LCA standards (ISO 14040/44) and are available via Higg MSI (version 3.8).
ENKA® viscose is an industrially produced filament yarn made from cellulose derived from Swedish pine or spruce. The wood used for this comes from responsibly managed forests. The fibre is produced using a process in which the majority of the resources used are reused.
Eastman Naia™ is an industrially produced acetate-based cellulose fibre. The wood used to make it comes from responsibly managed forests with traceable origins. The fibre is produced in a closed-loop system in which the majority of the resources used are reused.
Recycled viscose is certified to the GRS or RCS standard. These standards verify that the material is recycled pre-consumer or post-consumer material. This means that both industrial waste and used materials are processed into new fibres. Recycled fibres therefore contribute to the circular economy by making existing resources usable again. Recycled viscose is labelled as ‘recycled’ in the care label and Online Shop: e.g. viscose (recycled).
