MATERIAL DONATION
FOR CREATIVE YOUNG TALENT

We are donating 15,400 metres of high-quality fabrics to the TEXOVERSUM faculty at Reutlingen University. With this donation, we are underlining our commitment to the location and specifically promoting practice-oriented training in the field of textile and fashion design.

LONGEVITY AS PART OF THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The aim of the circular economy is to use resources efficiently and minimise waste. Products should have a long life and the materials used are reused. For many years, Marc Cain has focused on high-quality products with timeless designs whose colours are often reused in new collections. A repair service is new: garments made of cashmere or wool are repaired, shaped, creased and refreshed. Marc Cain is also taking a more sustainable approach to packaging, with lighter bags made from 100% recycled material that can be reintroduced into the raw material cycle.

COOPERATION WITH REUTLINGEN COLLEGE

Today, upcycling is becoming increasingly important because raw materials are limited and their disposal can pollute the environment. That's why we are testing new possibilities for a responsible use of old goods and started a cooperation with the Texoversum faculty at Reutlingen University. Five design students set themselves the task of creating new articles from completely produced old goods.
