Turning old into new: After the glamorous 50th Anniversary Celebration, we gave our stylish Leo fashion tent a new lease of life. Together with VAUDE Professional, a practical shopper and a cosmetic bag were designed and produced from the tarpaulin material as part of an upcycling campaign.
The idea behind recycling the Leo tent tarpaulin was to conserve resources and create a limited edition accessory. The upcycling project aims to avoid waste and save CO2 at the same time. Both the shopper and the cosmetic bag are made in Germany. Processing and production take place at the VAUDE site in Obereisenbach, on Lake Constance. This offers the advantage of short transportation routes, as both companies are regionally based in Baden-Württemberg.
Added to this is the climate-neutral, offset production of the articles. All emissions from mobility, materials, the manufacturing process and shipping are determined holistically and systematically reduced. Currently unavoidable emissions are fully offset by the independent non-profit organization "myclimate*".

THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
The production of our trendy Leo bags involves many steps. Once the material has been checked, it is cut precisely into sheets, followed by an exact shape cut in the cutter. The individual parts are then thoroughly cleaned and smoothed to ensure the highest quality.THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

In the next step, the actual sewing process begins and our characteristic 50-year logo is sewn on with precision. Every move is important, as every detail has to be implemented perfectly. After sewing, each bag undergoes careful quality control to ensure that the items meet our high standards. Finally, the items are packaged.
