WE ARE A MEMBER OF BETTER COTTON
Since July 2020, we have been a member of Better Cotton, a non-profit organization that promotes the responsible cultivation of cotton. Better Cotton trains farmers to respect the environment and work that respects human dignity.
We source the majority of our more sustainable cotton through our membership of Better Cotton. Farmers who grow Better Cotton are trained to use water efficiently, reduce the use of growth-promoting substances and respect biodiversity, soil health and the well-being of workers. That is why we consider Better Cotton to be "more sustainable cotton".
Better Cotton is secured via the so-called mass balance approach along the supply chain. This means that the cotton cannot be physically traced back to the end product. It is therefore not possible to prove whether Better Cotton cotton is actually contained in the end product. Nevertheless, by sourcing Better Cotton, we support its global cultivation. As a member of the initiative, we promote more sustainable cotton production across the board.
